ROCKVILLE — The Montgomery County council on Tuesday unanimously approved a $1.9 million appropriation to expand the county’s speed camera program.
“Speed cameras are an important tool in our [speed enforcement] arsenal,” council prez Phil Andrews (D-District 3) told his colleagues before putting it to a vote. ”They free up officers to investigate other crimes. They’re effective.” (more…)
