Apparently, downtown Silver Spring is still hung over from last weekend’s action, so Wheaton is picking up the ball and running with it.
On Sunday, the World of Montgomery festival rocks Wheaton’s commercial district. All kinds of feel-good multicultural stuff is scheduled, so it’s a good gig for kiddies, interns and those in search of different foods to try.
Otherwise, check out whatever’s cooking in downtown Silver Spring this weekend:

Speaking of Wheaton, isn’t the flea market in Wheaton Regional Park tomorrow?
Last Flea Market in the Park for 2009!
Saturday, October 10
9am—2pm
Wheaton Outdoor Rink
Flea Market in the Park is a smashing success, with more than 80 vendors and anywhere from 700-800 shoppers stopping by to look and buy. The Wheaton Outdoor Rink (just down the hill from Wheaton Ice Arena, near the Dog Park) is the hot new place to buy and sell treasures–new or old!
Savvy shoppers, who knows what great bargains you’ll find? Admission is free for all shoppers. Bring a friend and come check it out! Or make a day of it–shop in the morning at the Flea Market, go skating at Wheaton Ice Arena (there are public sessions on these Saturdays from 11:30am-1:30pm, and 3-5pm) or play tennis at the newly renovated Wheaton Indoor Tennis facility in the afternoon! There’s plenty of free parking, too.
Also, there is another flea market on Sun., Nov. 1st, at Wheaton Triangle.
