This Weekend

It’s going to be a busy weekend at Penguin HQ. The tech crew has to set up software for this year’s Quality of Nightlife survey. The mailroom guys must clear space in the storage closet for all the cool Penguin tchotchkes we’ll distribute at next weekend’s South Silver Spring block party (a Penguin sponsor, by the way). The intern needs a bath.

Penguin employees are advised to pack a lunch, maybe dinner, and to expect lots of pointless, sleep-deprived bickering. Also, management takes no responsibility for personal items stolen and then hocked for donut money.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be hiding my Liquid Paper, permanent markers and other inhalants from the mailroom guys. If chemical solvents aren’t your idea of fun, check out these activities:

Now I can post. Come to the Silver Spring Farmer’s Market tomorrow for a special musical treat. Snakehead Run will be providing entertainment from 10 to 12. Then stick around for Magical Montgomery where we play from 1:45 to 2:30. Let’s hope for No Rain!
