1:00 p.m. The Living Ruff pet-supply shop hosts “Dog Days of Downtown Silver Spring”, an event for people and their pets, until 5:00 p.m. This free event takes place on Ellsworth Drive, between Georgia Avenue and Fenton Street. It is open to the public.
The event includes a pet-people lookalike contest and a competition for the best pet trick. There is a $10 entrance fee to participate in the contests, with all proceeds going to area animal-rescue leagues.
