This Weekend

As it turns out, spending the weekend in downtown Silver Spring won’t be too painful. There’s music, politics and a play — something for (almost) everyone.

Just one note: the transit authority is doing all kinds of stuff with the Red Line, so expect some weirdness. Track work is constantly scheduled, then rescheduled at the last minute. Visit WMATA’s website if you plan to hit the rails, and check out The Penguin’s Twitter feed for service updates as they become available.

Stay cool and enjoy!
