The Early Bird

This week, the Penguin newsroom rolls out another series of articles sure to entertain and thrill readers all summer long. Or at least until the Red Line pulls into Takoma.

Seriously, how many more games of “Bubble Breaker” can you handle en route to Fort Totten? I’m willing to bet not too many more. That’s why the newsroom is kicking out a series of book reviews dubbed “Red Line Reads”. Let’s hope these books fill the intellectual void between stations.

The first “Red Line Read” review drops Tuesday. Until then, spend your commute focused on this shit:

Tuesday

7:30 p.m. WMATA assistant general manager Nat Bottigheimer describes the transit administration’s core capacity needs through the year 2025. This free event takes place at the Silver Spring Center (8818 Georgia Ave) and is open to the public.

Wednesday
