This is a great time to rediscover the bus. Went to a party last Sunday in Adams Morgan, took S buses there and back, piece of cake. WMATA's Web site has a "bus only" option. In addition to Metrobus, it covers RideOn, Prince George's The Bus (which alas, has little weekend service) and the various bus outfits in Va. However, I am not sure that it contains info for The Circulator bus in DC.

"because ain’t nobody making it into or out of The District on the Red Line this weekend. Prepare to weep:"

Ha, that's nothing. Be prepared to REALLY weep: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/09/AR2009070902967.html

Granted track work will not happen on the weekend, but 48 months of single tracking after 8pm Sunday-Thurs for FOUR YEARS. That is four years of metro being absolute hell past 8pm 5 nights a week. My days of going to Nationals games during the week are over. Crappy team plus hellish delays is so not worth it.
