Two Red Line trains collided Monday afternoon, leaving nine people dead and 76 injured, The Baltimore Sun reported.
The crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. between the Takoma and Ft Totten stations, WMATA said in a press statement. The first train, which was headed towards Shady Grove, rear ended the second, which was stopped in front of it and waiting for the station platform at Ft Totten to clear, The Sun wrote.
