A man and a woman were in stable condition Sunday after an early morning shootout on Ramsey Avenue, several sources say.
The blasting went down 5:30 a.m. on Sunday after two groups got into an argument outside the Caribbean Style restaurant (8407 Ramsey Ave), that bright yellow building across the street from the Metro station parking lot. At least one person unleashed 17 shots, The Washington Post and the Associated Press write.
A 33-year-old man took a bullet to the leg, while a 21-year-old woman sitting on the restaurant steps was shot in the face, WNBC-4 News and The Post report. It’s unclear whether either victim was an intended target.
According to The Post, the third district PD are looking for a male suspect, about 5-foot-5, weighing 190 pounds, rocking short or no hair. Witnesses dropped more details on the PD, describing the dude as black, in his mid 20s, wearing a yellow shirt with an emblem on the front left side, and a stud earring in his left ear.
The suspect was with two dudes and a chick wearing a white shirt under a black top, police told The Post. However, the Associated Press says the suspect was with four other people, while WUSA-9 News says there were five folks with the suspect.
MoCo liquor laws allow clubs to keep the party rolling, as long as the last call happens by 2:00 a.m. Sunday’s Caribbean carnival in The District may have kept the groove going longer than usual, WNBC-4 News says.

Did you intentionally omit from the description the fact that the suspect is black? You included everything else. That might be a an important physical attribute that one would need to be aware of were they searching for this person.
Editor’s note: Oops! That wasn’t intentional. Will put that in the story. Thanks. — JD (Jun 30, 2008)
