The Penguin newsroom has a serious case of the Mondays, thanks to all the bracket-busting basketball that went down over the weekend.
Every local school that showed for the dance — American, George Mason, UMBC and no. 2 Georgetown — went home early. And when no. 4 UConn goes down to San Diego in the first freakin’ round, you know the office pool is just circling the drain.
The tournament continues Thursday, which leaves the newsroom with these events until then:

Boxed wines and rosés are back in vogue. Just ask The Penguin's sommeliers.
Not all the local teams are out. The Terp women won last night, beating another local-ish team, Coppin State.
Thanks, Terry. Maybe I should have put my money into the women’s bracket.
By the look of this picture, The Penguin had some bad luck with her tournament brackets this weekend.
San Diego over UConn? I mean, come on!
I didn’t think Georgetown would be checking out so soon, either.
