9:00 p.m. Comedy troupe The Awesome Room hits McGinty’s Public House (911 Ellsworth Dr). Four bucks and convincing ID get you through the door.

Friday

8:00 p.m. The Silver Spring Stage (10145 Colesville Rd) presents the comedy “The Cripple of Inishmaan”. Tickets are $15 to $18.

3:00 p.m. The Maryland Youth Ballet (926 Ellsworth Dr) holds an open house for aspiring ballerinas or people who just enjoy wearing tights and tutus. The free gig goes through 5:00 p.m.
