I used to really like the MoCo Web site for keeping up with development news, but for the past year or so, it has gone WAY downhill. For example, if you look at the page the Penguin referenced for who sits on the committee, you'll see that the minutes/agenda, etc. haven't been added for all of 2007! The same goes for MNCPCC page on Silver Spring developments. Some of those project pages haven't been updated in a year, even though there is ample new news on a significant number of those projects. I guess like a lot of us, the people who are responsible for updating the Web sites also have other full time jobs and this stuff just falls by the wayside.

The 3:30 meeting is for the urban district advisory committee, which is actually separate from the Silver Spring advisory board.

Two of the urban district advisory committee's members work for developers, while two more represent small businesses. Time spent at these meetings is probably considered part of community outreach for these companies.

I don't know what any of the resident members do (or don't do) for a living.

I bet ALL of these members ask the same question of me that you ask of them: What does this woman do for a living that she can be at a 3:30 meeting?

I've always wondered... What do the people on the SS advisory board do for a living that they hold these 3:30 meetings? And how do I go about getting job like theirs :-)
