After a weekend of shameless self-promotion, it’s good to be back in the newsroom doing what penguins do best — more shameless self-promotion. And gloating. Oh, and straight-dope reporting with chutzpah. Here’s what’s going on this week.
Monday. US Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md 8 ) takes questions, comments and concerns, town-hall style. The deal goes down at John F. Kennedy High School (1901 Randolph Rd, Glenmont) starting at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday. The county council votes on permiting pushcart vendors in business districts. The council also gets the lowdown on December’s evacuation of Charter House after a basement flood. The gig starts at 9:00 a.m. in Rockville.
Wednesday. The University of Maryland men’s basketball team takes one more swing at Duke University’s Blue Devils. The 22-7 Terps are on a roll, having recently kicked the crap out of the UNC Chapel Hill and Florida State. The game against Duke goes down in North Carolina at 9:00 p.m.
