The response to this month’s restaurant week was mixed, but special meals at special deals could be back this summer.
Susan Hoffmann, marketing and events manager with the Silver Spring Regional Center, told the urban advisory committee Thursday that stinging cold temperatures may have hampered attendance. However, some restaurants reported more business than usual.
Jackie’s, Mrs. K’s Toll House and Crisfield Seafood did brisk business during the event, Hoffmann said. The Asian Bistro reported no difference in attendance, “but they’re always crowded,” she remarked.
“It was a success,” Hoffmann declared. “Nobody suffered by it.”
This month’s restaurant week was the second ever held in Silver Spring. If restaurant week does return, it could be scheduled for August, Hoffmann said.
