Lynch makes one more call to AFI

Do-it-yourself dum aloo

Next Monday at 7:00 p.m., Whole Foods Market (833 Wayne Ave) hosts a class on cooking Indian. Instructor Tania Hayek will teach participants to prepare cauliflower and potato curry (dum aloo), fish and prawns in herb sauce, and rice with toasted seeds and spice. Registration is $10 and must be done in person. Space is limited.

 

Long Branch to Leggett: Fund revitalization

Henry Williams, of the Long Branch Business League, said members of his organization have the “relative skills to run a laudromat or a restaurant,” but it would take a county-funded staff to expand public safety, sanitation and streetscaping programs. (more…)

 

Lights, cameras, call boxes planned for footbridge

Forest Glen pedestrian bridgeCounty officials said improved lighting would make it to the Forest Glen pedestrian bridge within a few weeks.
